Well...my blog works but my hotmail doesn't. We are in this really great little town called Lijiang. However, my camera and money got stolen last night on the bus. I dont know how it happened, cos my bag was under my legs the whole night. So i'm pretty pissed off right now. We've spent the whole morning trying to sort it out. We found the police station, and there were all these guys hand cuffed to posts. Who knows how long they had been there for. Now i just need to call my insurance company and hopefully it will all be ok. Its just shit i dont have a camera. But on the bright side they didn't take my MP3 player or my passport, which were all in the same place. Apart from that i really like China. Everything and everyone is Chinese!! That might sound normal, but after Sth East Asia, where everything is aimed at tourists, and everywhere there are tourists and everyone speaks english its a big change! But in Sth East Asia you never felt like you were experincing anything real in terms of the culture. It was easy but a little borring sometimes. We've had fun in a few supermarkets here, trying wierd looking foods!! And this morning we ate this wierd bread stuff and banana and some kind of warm milk for about 50c. I need to learn some Chinese fast though. Oh and i can see my blog though a proxy site, so comment if you wish!! Bye!!

Hi Leila,
Hope you got my email with the details re camera ect.
I am so surprised you had your passport in a hand bag!It should be on you. Also the rule is if your going to sleep put the bag under your head orlap covered with a coat or something, strap around the neck so you can feel if someone is touching . Sorry to tell you off but please be scrupulous.Love mum

ooh and i spoke to my history teacher and she said there are lost of spies in china for the communist cause - in germany after hitler it was 4 out every 5 people (even though hitler isn't communist but totalitarian one party u know all the deal) - so anyways be careful they don't think ur a crazy political activist - don't say anything against the state or they might lock u up!
love u!
